Heavy overnight rain could not dampen the spirits of the Swiss ace as he was quickly on the move in his 200th consecutive GP appearance to cleverly dive inside the current series runner-up for third on lap six of the first moto.  He bogged momentarily in a sticky turn three laps later as he set his sights on second to surrender the position again while the leaderboard battle intensified; he was edged back to fifth temporarily at the twenty-minute stage but fought back to fourth within two laps to mount a further challenge for third, only to be edged out by just one second at the chequered flag. After extensive track work during the interval the home hero needed time to settle in race two after starting fourth and lost two positions to hard-charging title candidates during the first third of the race, but he came back strongly in the closing stages to regain fifth four laps from the end. The move ensured fourth overall and he has now advanced to a secure fourth in the series standings.

Jeremy Seewer: “It was a very solid weekend; unfortunately, I ended up just missing the podium with P4. There were many positives; my riding was good and my speed was waybetter, particularly yesterday during Qualifying when I was fighting for the lead. I had two solid motos today with no mistakes; just that last small fraction was not there for the podium. The Swiss fans were super-cool as usual. They really are the next level; they support me rain or shine and give me a lot of energy.”
 
KRT teammate Romain Febvre converted his ninth-placed getaway to sixth already on the opening lap of the first race but, although close to the trio ahead of him, could not find a way forward throughout the remainder of the thirty-five minute race. After his difficult start to the weekend the previous day the Frenchman rediscovered his best form in the second GP moto. Gating third he mounted a spectacular outside pass for second after a quarter-of-an-hour and led a rapid trio as they closed down and pressurised the race-leader. Twice he was forced to surrender a position as they encountered lapped traffic to finish the moto fourth for fifth overall on the day. Despite missing five GPs mid-season he has now pulled back to sixth in the series standings, just twenty-three points shy of fifth with three GPs remaining.
 
Romain Febvre: "The result is what it is, but again today I didn't have a really good feeling. In the second moto I was fighting for the lead, but I took a stone in my face when I was behind Prado and that split open my lip. I hope that I will not have such a weekend again in the future, especially if we are fighting for the championship."
 
Bike It Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team's Jack Chambers had a frustrating time in racing for the FIM World MX2 Motocross Championship. The American gated well in race one to hold an initial thirteenth, but a first lap incident pushed him back to twenty-third and he spent the rest of the race recovering to sixteenth at the finish. A fall as the field bunched into the first turn of moto two left him chasing from the word go; he had pulled back through to seventeenth before pulling out of the race late on. He remains fifteenth in the series standings. KX250-mounted Quentin Marc Prugnières finished ninth overall from ninth- and tenth-placed motos to consolidate his twelfth-ranking in the points-chase.
